Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan struktur dan motivasi dalam mengungkap tema film “The Blind Side” karya John Lee Hancock. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data adalah teks film The Blind Side dalam bahasa Inggris. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut. Pertama, aspek sintaksis mengungkap alur cerita. Kedua, semantik mengungkap tokoh, penokohan, dan tema. Ketiga, Motivasi mengungap lima kebutuhan menurut teori Abraham Maslow. Keempat, struktur dan motivasi mendukung pengungkapan tema.
