Abstrak

v>Guidance is one of the most frequently carried out activities in South Jakarta Class ICorrectional Center. As for the guidance conducted specifically to narcotics clients which isthe most common type of criminal in South Jakarta Class I Correctional Center. Thisresearch is entitled the role of Probation and Parole Officer in the narcotics criminal clientguidance program at South Jakarta Class I Correctional Center. The result of this researchsuggest that through the legal structure and legal substance in the guidance programconducted by community guidance focuses on professional efforts for improve and emhancethe client's ability to interact with the community, by providing guidance for the client inorder to change the mindset, live responsibly and independently as progressive theoryexplains that the law is in charge of serving human. The quality of the law is determined byits ability to serve human well-being and a better life. As for the follow-up taken by theProbation and Parole Officer, namely making a report on the evaluation of development andconduct proactive supervision and coordination with relevant third parties in the cooperationof guidance programs
