Identifikasi Karakteristik Mesoscale Convective Complex (MCC) di Selat Makassar

Awan Konvektif berupa tutupan awan yang cukup besar dan memenuhi karakteristik Mesoscale Convective Complex (MCC) telah terjadi di wilayah Selat Makassar. Tutupan awan konvektif skala meso ini memiliki ciri durasi yang cukup panjang, bentuk semi melingkar dan memiliki pola tutupan awan yang besar. MCC ini juga mengakibatkan adanya peningkatan kecepatan angin dan ketinggian gelombang pada wilayah yang dilalui. Pengolahan MCC ini menggunakan data citra satelit Himawari-8 kanal inframerah dengan algoritma yang telah dibangun dan berdasarkan karakteristik MCC yang ada di Indonesia. Karakteristik berupa luasan, durasi dan nilai eksentrisitas dari MCC ditampilkan dalam hasil olahan penulisan ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini memperlihatkan posisi dari MCC, pergerakan dari MCC dan juga akibat yang ditimbulkan dari kluster awan MCC. Tercatat durasi MCC yang terjadi di Selat Makassar selama 8 jam dan memiliki lokasi terjadinya di lautan. Hasil akhir dari analisis ini menghasilkan koordinat lintang dan bujur, serta luasan piksel awan dan juga nilai eksentrisitas. Verifikasi dilakukan dengan mengambil data gambar citra satelit BMKG untuk mengkonformasi keberadaan awan MCC.References
