PUBLICATION ETHICS
All published articles have undergone a review process by peer reviewers and editing by the editorial board. This journal follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in addressing all aspects of publication ethics, particularly how to handle research misconduct and publication errors. This statement of scientific publication ethics is a code of ethics for all parties involved in the journal publication process, namely the managers, editors, peer reviewers, and authors.
The Scientific Publication Ethics Code essentially upholds three ethical values in publication, namely:
- Neutrality, which means free from conflicts of interest in publication management.
- Justice, which means granting authorship rights to those entitled as authors.
- Honesty, which means free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism in publication.
Tasks and Responsibilities of Journal Managers : - Determining the journal's name, scope of science, frequency, and accreditation if necessary.
- Determining the membership of the editorial board.
- Defining the relationship between the publisher, editor, peer reviewers, and other parties in a contract.
- Respecting confidentiality for researchers who contribute, authors, editors, and reviewers.
- Implementing norms and regulations regarding intellectual property rights, particularly copyright.
- Conducting a review of journal policies and communicating them to authors, the editorial board, reviewers, and readers.
- Creating a code of conduct guide for editors and reviewers.
- Publishing the journal regularly.
- Ensuring the availability of funding sources for the sustainability of journal publication.
- Building cooperation and marketing networks. 11. Preparing permits and other legal aspects.
Editor Duties and Responsibilities : - Improve the quality of publications.
- Ensure processes to maintain the quality of published papers.
- Lead the freedom to express opinions. 4. Maintain the integrity of the authors' academic record.
- Convey corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies if necessary.
- Have the responsibility to organize and format papers, while the content and any statements within the paper are the responsibility of the authors.
- Assess the policies and attitudes of the journal published by the authors and peer review to enhance accountability and minimize errors.
- Have an open-minded personality in accepting others' opinions or views that differ from their personal opinions.
- Prohibit maintaining our own opinions, the authors', or third parties' that could lead to incorrect decisions.
- Encourage authors to make improvements to their writings until they are worthy of publication.
Duties and Responsibilities of Reviewers :
1. Receiving a task from the editor to review a written work and convey the review results to the editor, as a basis for determining the eligibility of a written work for publication.
2. Reviewers must not review written works that involve themselves, either directly or indirectly. - Maintain the author's privacy by not disseminating the results of corrections, suggestions, and recommendations by providing criticism, suggestions, input, and recommendations.
- Encouraging the author/writer to improve their written work.
- Re-review the written work that has been revised according to the established standards.
- The written work is reviewed in a timely manner according to the publication's style guide based on scientific principles (data collection methods, author legality, conclusions, etc.).
Author's Duties and Responsibilities :
- Ensuring that those listed as authors meet the criteria for authorship.
- Collectively responsible for the work and content of the article, including methods, analysis, calculations, and details.
3. Declaring the source of resources (including funding), both directly and indirectly. - Explaining the limitations of the research.
- Responding to comments made by peer reviewers professionally and promptly.
- Informing the editor if intending to withdraw the manuscript.
- Making a statement that the submitted manuscript is original, has not been published anywhere in any language, and is not under consideration by any other publisher.
